About the competition:

The competition invites professional composers, of any nationality and across all musical aesthetics, to create an electroacoustic work using a bank of more than 2,000 high-definition sounds drawn from the instruments invented by PTC. The finalist works will be presented in a public concert in Montréal in late winter 2027.

To give your network a concrete sense of the competition, you're welcome to share the works awarded at the 2nd edition — notably Insectarium Creaturae by Tobias Álvarez (1st Prize), Have You Ever Been to Hong Kong by Paolo Montella (2nd Prize) and Before Dawn by Diane Daher (3rd Prize): Winners — 2025 Edition.
