Creating a novel audiovisual performance titled "Lo Que Yo Veo" that merges sound and video components. This project involves crafting unique sound compositions, producing captivating visuals, and exploring ways to seamlessly integrate both mediums during live performances. To achieve this, I will employ electronic music blended with digital audio processing techniques. The visuals is curated from various sources, including microscope recordings, shadow theater, graphic animation, and digital processing.
Diego Bermudez Chamberland is a Quebec/Costa Rican sound artist who works in several fields related to creation such as musical composition, sound design and and live performance. His practice is inspired by his human and musical experiences. Collaboration is an essential aspect of his artistic practice. He sees it as a way to transcend his reflexes and to bring his creations towards new horizons. He completed a bachelor’s degree in digital music at the University of Montreal and a Master's degree in Electroacoustic Composition at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal. He is the recipient of several composition awards including JTTP and has received support from the Canada and Quebec Arts Council. His works have been performed internationally in Germany, Australia, Austria, Spain, France and Italy.
