With the aim of promoting contemporary musical creation, and on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the LES MUSICALES D’ASSY Festival, the LONTANO Quartet is launching a call for compositions for string quartet :
The proposed work(s) must be, of your choice:
1) A creation
2) A work written within the last 10 years
> The duration of the proposed work must not exceed 20 minutes.
> The call does not include works with added electronics
The LONTANO Quartet will select a minimum of 5 works, a maximum of 10 works, from the 2 categories above.
Rewards :
- A 1500€ price for the winner of the 2025 call for scores.
For all selected laureates:
- A workshop with Lontano Quartet members, to be scheduled between 19.06.25 and 22.06.25 in Paris; or on the 3.08.25, in the Plateau d’Assy (transportation costs are not covered).
- Public performance at Les Musicales d'Assy 2025 Festival (Haute-Savoie).- A recording of the performance.
